Barcodes for efficient document capture
XLPrint's PARIS Software enables Forest of Dean District Council to design, enhance and print both batch documents and on-line transactions. Barcodes are applied to questionnaires to simplify their identification when completed and returned to the Council. PARIS is a tool that can be used by all Council departments and integrated with most line of business applications.

Payment barcodes to lower cash collection costs
XLPrint’s PARIS software is used by Mansfield District Council to enhance payment related documents. The PARIS software is used to easily re-format the payment documents to include a barcode. The resident can take the payment document to any local PayPoint retailer, where the barcode can be easily read, ensuring the payment is accurately and quickly electronically directed to the correct Council account.
The PARIS software works seamlessly with the existing Council’s applications, without any modification to them. In this example PARIS captures the base data from the following applications prior to generating the finished payment document:

• Ash Software Systems, sundry debtors software
• The Council’s in-house developed housing rent application
